What actually changes day to day

The file browser is not a second product
SecureCRT handles the terminal; SecureFX handles files. They are separate purchases, and in most organisations that means some people have one and not the other, and files get moved by whoever holds the right licence.
In Upshell the browser is part of the session — the same SSH channel as the shell, no second login, no second licence. On hosts behind a bastion chain or a one-time code, sharing the channel also removes the second round of authentication.
Credentials in the Keychain instead of a vendor store
A proprietary credential store is portable across platforms, which is the point when the same client must run on Windows and Linux. On a Mac it means your secrets live somewhere the operating system does not manage and your existing backup and recovery story does not cover.
